Mrs. Emely Jean Hammon Carter, 78, passed away on March 15, 2020. There will not be any services scheduled at this time.
On Monday, February 2, 1942, Mrs. Emely Jean Hammon Carter as born to George Hammon and Nina Williams Hammon in Sardis, Mississippi.
Emely completed her education at Walter Chapel High School. She was employed by the Salvation Army from 1968-2009. During her time of employment, Emely received recognition for completing twenty years of services without any absences.
Mrs. Carter leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, Michael (Shelia) Carter, Willie (Tiffany) Carter, Jr., Micky J. (Linda) Carter, Londzo (Jennifer) Carter and Mannix Carter; twenty grandchildren; two sisters, Stella M. (Joe) Carter and Joyce (Dwight) Bragg; four brothers, Robert (Marlly) Hammon, Edward (Jewel) Hammon, Alvin (Tina) Hammon and Givon (Essie Cooper) Hammon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
