Eva Lee Servant was born on Thursday, March 9, 1950, in Fairfax, Alabama to John Lewis Cook and Willie Bell Cook.
Eva was a talented and diligent worker, dedicating her skills as a sewer at the Wehadkee Yarn Mill. Known for her prodigious talent, she generously shared her sewing skills with the community. Beyond her vocation, she cherished cooking, fishing, carpentry, and working outdoors, which were her favorite pastimes.
Eva attended and graduated from R. R. Moton High School, where she formed lasting friendships that endured throughout her life. Her dedication to her family and her community were unwavering.
Left to treasure her memory are her daughters, Amanda Servant (Roosevelt) Jones of Alpine, AL, Annette Servant (Stanley) Chatman of Talladega, AL, Sharon (Christopher) Servant of Oxford, AL, Catrina S. (Anthony) Jones of Anniston, AL, and Sabrina Swain of Stockbridge, GA; and her son, Carlos Servant of Talladega, AL. She also leaves behind thirteen adoring grandchildren, Devecchio (Peyton) Servant of Trussville, AL, Kendrick Servant, Latoya Servant, Rylisha Servant, Marshiry Servant and Teiniya Frankllin of Oxford, AL, Randi Holland of West Point, GA, Kelvin (Wangelica) Servant of Talladega, Demetrius (Kerria) Servant of Cincinnati, OH , Cartavions Jones of Anniston, AL, Stanley (Tamia) Chatman, Jr. of Pell City, AL, NaRiya Higgins of Talladega, AL and Zion Morris of College Park, GA. Her lineage is further extended with thirty-two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Eva shared a special bond with her sister, Eva Mae (the late Lesley) Williams of Talladega, AL, who survives her. She leaves behind a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including Millicent "Ball" McKenzie, each of whom held a unique and special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Carlton Servant Jr., her daughter, Eva Belle Servant, her parents, John Lewis and Willie Bell Cook, her brother, Frank James "Uncle Bro" Cook, and her special friend, Johnnie Mae Smiley.
Eva Lee passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10th, 2025. Eva's memory will endure through the love and stories cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. A strong and gentle soul, she was a beacon of love and compassion. She will remain forever in our hearts, a beautiful reminder of the power of love, family, and community.

We will miss Ms. Eva. We enjoyed the times when we did see her at her good friend's home, Marcus and Jonnie Lewis Smiley. Our prayers and condolences go out to the family. God Bless!!!!
