Born in Leeds, AL, on Wednesday, October 16, 1957, Freddie filled her life with love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community. Freddie was the cherished daughter of the late Eules Street Sr. and Doris Marie Wallace
Freddie's life extended beyond her professional endeavors; she was an active and passionate member of her community. She found immense joy and purpose in participating with the Missionary Society and singing in the choir at Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

She later embarked on a long and fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service, working as a dedicated mail sorter and handler. Freddie also cherished moments shopping with friends and family.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Freddie leaves behind her loving son, Alfred Ponder, and his wife Constance of Piedmont, SC, as well as her adored grandsons, Alyjah and Cameron Ponder. Her legacy of kindness and strength will continue through them and the host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her grace and generosity.
