Obituary For Joanne Jenkins Turner
There will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Joanne Jenkins Turner, 71, of Talladega. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
Mrs. Joanne Jenkins Turner was born on May 17, 1949, to the union of Clifton Jenkins and Ada Pointer Jenkins in Talladega, Alabama.
Mrs. Turner was a member of Mt Canaan Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Crane Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois. Joanne was employed with Alabama Industries for the Deaf and Blind. On July 2, 1974, Joanne was united in holy matrimony to Luther Turner and to this union one child was born.
On the morning of Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Joanne began her eternal rest. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Clifton and Ada Jenkins; a brother, Clifton Jenkins, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Monroe Allen.
Loving memories will remain in the hearts of her husband of 46 years, Luther Turner of Talladega, Alabama; a daughter, Shirley J. Turner of Montgomery, Alabama; one sister, Shirley J. Allen of Talladega, Alabama; a special friend and caregiver, Pamela Barclay of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.
