Services for Mrs. Lovell Hunley Williams, 90, of Talladega will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be held at Zion Memorial Gardens, Birmingham.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Mrs. Lovell Hunley Williams was born September 3, 1932, to the late Mr. Richard Hunley and Mrs. Lucy Carter Hunley in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Mrs. Lovell confessed Christ at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Talladega. After moving to Birmingham, she joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was a member until her health failed at which time she moved back to Talladega to live out her remaining days.

Mrs. Lovell was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Samuel Williams in Birmingham Alabama.

Mrs. Lovell, known to most as Maude, departed this earthly life peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at her home with her niece and nephew by her side. Five sisters and six brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Lovell leaves to mourn: two loving sisters, Mrs. Nellie Carmichael, Talladega, Alabama and Mrs. Ada Pollard, Washington D. C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
