Michael Anthony “Herb” Storey, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend was born on Sunday, August 13, 1961, in Talladega, AL.
Michael Storey attended Miracle Prayer House in Anniston, Alabama. He was educated at Talladega High School and pursued a career in manufacturing, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. A man of many talents, he was passionate about football, baseball, and working on construction projects. These interests not only brought him joy but also connected him with many who shared his enthusiasm.
Michael was united in holy matrimony to the former Shirley Johnson on June 7, 1982. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Shirley Storey and his beloved children: daughters, Torri (Derrick) Storey, Tameka Ashley, Sakethia (Antonio) Dobbins, and Camery Long; and sons, Tobios Storey, Terrence Storey and LaMicheal Long; and his beloved parents, Lawrence Storey and Annie R. Storey. He was a proud grandfather to twelve adoring grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory close in their hearts.
He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria (Larry) Hudson, Deborah (Anthony) Evans and LaVonda Storey; and his brothers, Antonio Storey, Lawrence Bell, Leveyon Storey, Lourdes Storey, and LaAnthony Storey. Michael also leaves behind a host of cherished nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who enriched his life with love and laughter.
Michael departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Kenneth Storey, Angela Storey Lee, and Felicia Storey. Michael held a deep bond with his family, and their memories together will be forever treasured.
In the legacy of Michael Anthony Storey, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with moments of joy, love, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through his loving family and the memories they hold dear.
