Mr. Michael Jerome Truss began his earthly life on Saturday, February 27, 1960, to the parentage of Margaret Truss and Daniel Simmons in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Truss accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He received his education in the Talladega City Schools concluding at Talladega High School. Michael was employed as a cook in food service. In 1998, he was united in holy matrimony to the former Joyce Marie Holland.

On Sunday, June 14, 2020, Michael began his eternal life while he was a patient at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Joyce M. Truss; his grandparents, Willie Thomas and Arthur Truss; and a brother, Kendrick Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Margaret Truss and Daniel Simmons of Talladega, Alabama; three children, Marquez (Holly) Lee of Talladega, Alabama, Damarcus (Stefanie) Curry of Anniston, Alabama and Tanesha (Sheldon) Broyles of Talladega, Alabama; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; six sisters, Wendy (Anthony) Calhoun, Portia (James) Merritt, Sundra (Darryl) Mallory, Donna (Jacob) Twymon, Belinda (Darryl) Wiggins and Tonja Chatman of Talladega, Alabama; four brothers, Terry (Teress) Truss and James (Eboni) Truss of Talladega, Alabama, Tyrone (Marilyn) Scott of Huntsville, Alabama and Daniel (Patience) Simmons of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
