Funeral services for Ms. Patricia Gibbons of Lineville, 69, will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in Lineville Community Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020.
On Saturday, January 6, 1951, in Lineville, Alabama, James Ishmael Kerley and Cora Ethal Hall welcomed Patricia Elayne Hall Gibbons to begin her earthly journey in their care.
Ms. Gibbons committed her life to Christ and found her church home at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Patricia was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Clay County Training School and concluded her education at Southern Union State Community College completing an associate degree in office management. Professionally, she dedicated a number of years to Higgins and Clay County Home Health. Patricia found great joy caring for her grandchildren during her spare time.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, Patricia traded time for eternity with the Lord at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded on her journey to eternity by her parents, James I. Kerley and Cora E. Hall; a daughter, Tasha; and two sisters and two brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory: seven daughters, Tiffany (Rashan) Gibbons of Montgomery, Alabama, Nakita (Antwone) Calloway of Oxford, Alabama, Meredith hall of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Adrienne Hall, Amber Hall-Browne and Ariel Browne of Jacksonville, Florida and Apryl Hall of Chicago, Illinois; two sons Horace E. (Tanishia) Jones of Southaven, Mississippi and Victor (Venice) Jackson of Copperas Cove, Texas; six grandchildren, Ebony Zackery, CiErra Calloway, Jasmin Burney, Antwone Calloway, Jr., Aubrie Calloway and Jaylen Coleman; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Eddie) Simmons of Goodwater, Alabama and Annie Jo Kerley Golden of New York, New York; two brothers, Leon Gibbons of Conway, South Carolina and Donald (Wanda) Gibbons of Anniston, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
To the family of Patricia Gibbons, my family we've only recently met thru Hall Family FB page I feel so connected to you all. I send love and sincere condolences to you all, during this difficult time in your life, it's a hard pill to swallow as I know from losing my Mom in 2018.
