Obituary For Ralphyne Truss
Ralphyne was born on Sunday, October 25th, 1953, to J L and Rosa Castleberry in Talladega, Alabama.
A graduate of Talladega High School, Ralphyne took great pride in her role as a Supervisor at the Talladega Recreation Center. Her commitment and leadership greatly enriched the workplace and community. Among her many interests, Ralphyne was passionately involved in "Boots On The Ground," contributed to community service projects, and enjoyed shopping and fishing during her leisure time.
Ralphyne was the cherished wife of Duryea Truss. Together, they shared a beautiful life, deeply rooted in love and support for their family. She is survived by her sons, Dequarious (Kerries) Truss and Durand (Krystal) Truss, both of Talladega, AL. Ralphyne also took immense pride in raising her grandson, DeJavion Truss, as one of her own, fostering his growth and success.
Her legacy extends to her grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Dequarious Truss, Jr., Brenasia Truss, Daijonae Truss, Dayland Truss, Durquavion Truss, and Denym Truss. She was also a proud great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren who were a source of unending happiness.
Ralphyne is fondly remembered by her siblings: Jewel Holt, Priscilla Downer, Vanessa Downer, Veronica D. Gilliam, Odis Downer, Jr., Christopher Downer, and Preston Downer.
Ralphyne Truss, passed away on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, J L Castleberry and Rosa Castleberry, and cherished siblings, Abra Ann Duncan, Alma Elahi, Sabritia Downer, and Lee E. Downer.
Ralphyne Truss will be remembered for her enduring love for family, her dedication to her work, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her spirit and influence will remain a guiding light for her family and friends, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing her.
