Obituary For Robert Lee Johnson

Graveside services for Mr. Robert Lee Johnson, 61, will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Antioch Church Cemetery. Dr. Matthew Leonard will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020.

Mr. Robert Lee Johnson was born Thursday, February 5, 1959, to the union of the late Bobbie Gooden Johnson Wynn and Ollie Johnson in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mr. Johnson confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the public schools of Atlanta, Georgia and continued his education at Talladega College. Robert was employed as an environmental control specialist with Talladega Healthcare Center and Talladega College. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed grilling, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

On the evening of Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Robert began his eternal journey at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Bobbie Wynn; and a brother, Quentin Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: the mother of his children, Sandy Garrett of Sylacauga, Alabama; two daughters, Tenisha (Fabian) White and Tyeshai (Kelvin) Garrett-Dykes of Sylacauga, Alabama; three grandchildren, Jadrean Dykes, Jakel Dykes and Jaida Dykes all of Sylacauga, Alabama; a loving father, Ollie Johnson, Jr. of Birmingham Alabama; three sisters, Angela (Sanford) Swain of Talladega, Alabama, Anjanette Ferguson of Midfield, Alabama and Brittany Wynn of Talladega, Alabama; seven brothers, Bruce Johnson, Eric (Dorothy) Johnson, Michael (Mary) Gooden, Ernest Johnson, Darius (Tameka) Johnson all of Talladega, Alabama, Darryl (Juanita) Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama and Antonio Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia; one stepbrother, Willie Wynn (Glenda) of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
