Obituary For Ruth Moon Kidd

A celebration of life for Mrs. Ruth E. Kidd, 76, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends and have a light reception before the service from 11-12 p.m. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020.

Mrs. Ruth Moon Kidd was born on April 25, 1945, to the union of the late Mr. David Moon, Sr. and the late Mrs. Eula Brooks Moon in Alexander City, Alabama.

Her parents relocated to Talladega, Alabama during the mid 1950’s. Mrs. Kidd attended Westside Elementary and High School.

She confessed her faith in Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama during the pastorate of the late Reverend A. C. Smith. Mrs. Kidd was a faithful member and currently under the leadership of Reverend Brian Miller.

Mrs. Ruth Moon was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Walter Clinton Kidd in April 1961, to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Walter Clinton Kidd; her son, Mr. James Anthony Kidd; her parents, Mr. David Moon, Sr. and Mrs. Eula Brooks Moon; three brothers, Mr. David Moon, Jr., Mr. John Moon and Mr. J. D. Moon; and her grandparents, Mr. Willow Rose and Mrs. Emma Rowe. Mrs. Kidd answered the Master’s call on Sunday, September 6, 2020, and entered eternal rest. She loved her family and humanity. She will be dearly missed.

Precious memories will forever live in the hearts of her beloved son, Mr. Ronald (Francesca) Kidd of Farmington Hills, Michigan; a precious granddaughter, Ms. Joree Kidd of Farmington Hills, Michigan; a beloved sister, Mrs. Flo (Rufus) Barclay of Talladega, Alabama; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marjorine H. Kidd of Munford, Alabama, Mrs. Fannie H. Kidd and Ms. Sarah L. Kidd of Talladega, Alabama and Mrs. Earlene Moon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three siblings-in-love, Ms. Lillian Lawson of Talladega, Alabama, Apostle Prezell (Cheryl) Lane of Childersburg, Alabama and Mr. Calvester Lane of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
