My love and prayers go to Kasi family. I've been friends wit Kasi for years on fb. She was such a strong woman! Someone I admired and looked up to. She was such an amazing friend! She was like a big sister to me over the years. Always a friendly, reassuring ear, and in your corner. Me Being in California. Our favorite thing was talking about our favorite TV shows. Crime, mystery, cooking, and suspense. And of course supernatural 🩷 "Carry on wayward my son" And episode 11x20 "Fare thee well" 😭
Kasi was my classmate. I will cherish the memories of her in my heart. Rest Easy Classmate 💜 1994!
Thank you, Kasi, for all the laughter. E hoʻomaha i ke Aloha... rest in aloha🙏🌺
Babe, you were so amazing. You made so many of us laugh. You always brightened up my worst days. You will forever be missed.
Since we were girls Kasi and I have been making each other laugh. Then we became Golden Girls; she was Dorothy and I'm Sophia. We didn't talk often but we pebbled each other with memes, good books, movies, and TV shows. We're both too introverted to be talking all the time but we let each other know we cared. It broke my heart to hear she was gone. No more silly messages calling her pussycat or her threatening to send me to Shady Pines. No more true crime documentary suggestions or jokes about cantaloupes. So many people saw the image of the pouty princess online. I always told her I hated the pictures of her with fish lips. It's because I knew there was so much more to her. To me she will forever be Red with the bright blue eyes and the tinkling, infectious laugh. I love you, pussycat and always will. I hate that you are no longer here but I know you are happy with your Daddy. Bonus points...I gained a redheaded angel. 💖💖💖
There are some people who come into your life as friends, but somehow become family. That was Kasi.
For the past 11 years, we've laughed together, cried together, survived together, and built a friendship that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. We both worked in the medical field, we both carried the weight of trauma, and I think that's part of why we understood each other so well. She never judged me. She simply loved me for who I was.
Kasi had the most beautiful heart. She loved fiercely, whether it was her family, her friends, her patients, or the causes she believed in. If she cared about you, you knew it. And if she believed in something, she wasn't afraid to stand up for it. She had a strength that I always admired and respected.
She also had the cutest giggle that could brighten even the darkest day. I'm going to miss hearing it more than words can say.
We could spend entire days sending memes back and forth, laughing over the dumbest things. She was the only person on this planet who could get away with calling me "Heifer." It became our thing—and somehow she even managed to get herself in trouble on the Book of Faces because of it. Looking back now, I wouldn't trade those moments for anything.
She loved to cook, and we'd always swap recipes and pictures of whatever we had made. Music was another language we shared. It didn't matter the genre—we were always introducing each other to new songs, knowing one of us would inevitably say, "You've got to hear this."
Kasi wasn't just a wonderful friend. She was the sister life chose for me.
I wasn't ready to say goodbye. None of us were. The world feels a little quieter without her laugh, a little less colorful without her spirit, and my phone will never feel quite the same without another meme or random song showing up from her.
Thank you, Kasi, for every laugh, every conversation, every recipe, every song, every "Heifer," and every moment you reminded me that unconditional friendship is real.
I will miss you every single day, but I will carry you with me for the rest of my life.
Until we meet again, I love you, my sweet friend. Save me a seat, and don't cause too much trouble until I get there. ❤️
I met Kas online many years ago. What started out as acquaintances in a group turned out to be one of the best people I got to know. She was always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on..she always asked how my wife and kids were doing. I will surely miss talking bout old country music and sharing recipes and just everyday life. You will be miss my dear friend!!
I met Kass, online, over 10 years ago. She called my husband Fluffy and I decided to send her this pic of the statepuff Marshmallow Man. We never skipped a beat from there. From messaging, to texting, and eventually hour(s) long phone calls, she became my person. She kept me grounded when life got me off balance. We would send pictures of our thrift finds and just laugh at the silliest things. When her dad passed, she was devastated, but she knew I had been there a few years before. She was a daddy's girl!
My family would laugh at us on Wednesdays because it was Masked Singer day, and they knew Kass and I were invested. Sounds silly, but the fall season were for drama and summers were game shows and home renovations. We put dates in our calendars of season premieres and new show beginnings. We had talked of meeting so many times, but schedules (and both of us having anxiety with that lol) just kept us on the phone or texting. We video chatted several times to show our hauls from our sales we had found. When she told me she had cancer again, my heart dropped. All I could tell her was we will get a plan and fight together, but no matter what she decided, I would support her. She told me it meant a lot how I was always asking how her mom was handling it all. She said she was "being mom and just trying to be strong", but she knew how hard she was taking it. She loved her mom and worried about her.
She loved fiercely, but was guarded on who she let into her personal life. I was fortunate to be apart of both worlds with her, and her in mine. She watched my kids grow, graduate, and one even marry. All through the lens I loved to be behind. She's heard me scream and cry and laugh until I thought I'd pass out, but she was there. I have heard her do the same. She was one of a kind, and it was SUCH an honor to have had her as my person and best friend.. To her mom, Ms Charlotte, my heart is heavy for you and your family. I hope you know just how wonderful of a human she truly was! I hope to finally meet you all one day.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
