Archie Neal Harvey was born on June 22, 1949, to the late Thomas and Nancy Currie Harvey. He entered eternal rest on June 14, 2024, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, surrounded by family. Neal has a very friendly and outgoing personality. Neal is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Harvey; granddaughter, LaToya McNeil; great-grandson, Devarion Gross; and siblings, Pete, Henry, Carolyn, Nathaniel, Joseph, Richard, Billy Harvey, and Mary Francis Chavis.
Left to cherish his memories: five daughters, Angela Harding of Garner, North Carolina, Marion McNeil Jones of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Michelle (Vincent) Coleman of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Brandy McNeil of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Shannon Alford of Clayton, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Antonio, Renita, Sherita, Kesheria, Khadejah, and Travis McNeil, Derek Griffis, Quentin Edmundson, Jasmine (Mike) Fowler, Johnny Ray (Jasmine), and Johnathan Adams, Shytiana, Khali, and Aliana Alford; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mildred Harvey of Raleigh, North Carolina; one Godbrother, Bishop James McKinnon (Daisy) of Raleigh, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Betty McNeill, Shirley McNeil and Willa (Chris) Hinton all of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Bobby McNeil of Garner, North Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
For I am ready to be ordered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4 6-7
