Obituary For Carson Harold Underwood
Carson Harold Underwood formerly of Fuquay-Varina,NC was born July 24, 1950 in Wake County, NC. He departed this life on November 07, 2022. Carson lived to the age of 72.
Carson graduated from Fuquay-Varina Consolidated School in 1968 and Winston-Salem State University in 1972.
Carson’s work career included employment at Wachovia Bank as well as car sales within the Triad area.
Although Carson is no longer with us, his memory is emblazoned in our hearts.
Carson was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Maxine (Big Charlie and Margie); as well as four siblings, Margie, Larry, James and Phyllis.
He leaves to cherish his memories 2 children, Paris France and Johnny France of Winston-Salem, NC; two grandchildren, London France and Tariq France of Winston-Salem, NC; one great grandchild, Kyndal Zimmerman of Winston-Salem, NC; six siblings, Laverne Holmes (James) and Steve Holland of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Beverly Duchatellier, of Cambria Heights, NY, Tanya Miller and Vincent Miller, of Queens Village, NY, and Marie Miller, of Lodi, NJ; three aunts, Attie Underwood, Rosa Gill (Jimmy) and Edna Myatt, all of Raleigh, NC; one uncle, Willie Underwood, of Holly Springs, NC; goddaughter, Tamesha Wesley (John), of Williamston, NC; and special friends, Clada France and Rhea Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel in Winston Salem, NC. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.

My memory of Carson was of kindness and love for WSSU. Being from the same area gave us opportunities to discuss friends and family and the rivalry between Fuquay Consolidated High School and Apex Consolidated High School. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace!
