Cora Bailey Green-Jones was born on January 10, 1940, to the late James and Emma Bailey. God called her to eternal rest on March 27, 2024, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.

She attended Shawtown School in Lillington, NC.

She was married to the late Joe Nathan (Buddy) Green, and unto them were born five wonderful children, three boys and two girls, Lee Ray Green (Barbara), Cora Green Vandergriff (Clyde), Jackie Lynn Green (Jacqueline), Richard Wayne Green, and Wanda Green Williams (Lawrence). She also had a special nephew who was raised as her son, Lee Roy Allen; 25 grands, 56 great-grands, and eight great-great-grands.

In September of 2010, she was married to Bishop Elijah Thomas Jones at Redeemed Apostolic Church. Cora was a real woman of God. She brought a lot of people to Christ. She believed in showing Christ everywhere she went. She also believed in helping anybody who was in need and it didn’t matter who it was. She loved everybody. Even if she didn’t agree with you, she had a way of letting you know in a loving and godly way.

Viewing: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Redeemed Apostolic Church of Christ in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Redeemed Apostolic Church of Christ, 1480 Purfoy Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
