Dennis W. Woodruff, Sr., 71 of Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 passed on March 18, 2025, at Fuquay-Varina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Dennis Warren Woodruff Sr was the son of Samuel Jones and Gladys Warren Jones, born October 27, 1953, in Jamaica Queens, New York. There were three siblings: Charles, Dennis, and Maureen. Dennis has one son, Dennis W Woodruff Jr.
Dennis worked for the United States Postal Service for many years in New York.
With encouragement from his sister, Maureen, Dennis moved to North Carolina after 9/11. Dennis met Veronica and after four years of friendship they were wed on October 27, 2006.
Dennis enjoyed spending time & celebrating birthdays with his blended family & grandchildren. Dennis loved reading about history & was surrounded by books. He was also a lover of music and watching historical movies and documentaries.
Dennis joined New Providence Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed service & fellowship until his health started to decline. His Nurse assistant at the rehabilitation facility said he would sing to his self "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less (On Christ the Solid Rock)" for encouragement.
Public Viewing: 12:00 - 6:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Visitation: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 4813 Hilltop Needmore Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Burial: New Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Johnson Pond Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
At the request of the family, they will not be accepting any visitors at this time. Please be mindful of the family’s request.

My Sincere condolences go out to Dennis. I know him from New York and know his son. Family is what they are to me. I also live down here in NC and was shocked to hear about his death yesterday.
