Dexter H. Ottley, 58 of Durham, NC passed on October 19, 2023, at UNC Rex Healthcare in Holly Springs, NC.
He was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad in 1965 to Hilton and Jeanette Ottley. He was the oldest brother to Mark and Hilton John Ottley. Dexter was a carpenter by Trade starting his career in New York where he lived for over 35 years. When he passed, he was a Senior Carpenter at Duke University.
Dexter is survived by his three daughters Tiffany Ottley, Alyssah Ottley, and Alayjah Ottley, his granddaughter Logan Dennis, his brothers Mark and Hilton John Ottley, his parents Hilton and Jeanette Ottley and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The memorial service in Celebration of Dexter's Life is at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

My condolences to family. Mr and Mrs Ottley you guys did a awesome job has parents to Dexter, Dexter was a prime example of a son father and friend. Dexter would always greet me with greetings darling and no matter what's going on with me it would put a smile on my face. To his 3 beautiful daughters and grand daughter he loves you guys so much he would light up whenever he spoke about you guys he was very proud. I wish he was able to live his dream of returning back home Eventuality, he would joke about how he would be just sitting on his porch take it back easy with a big one lol. dexter and I shared some special moments and memories and I will always love and appreciate him, he help to make me into a better woman. sleep easy my friend
