Jimmy Wayne McQueen was born July 16, 1957, in Wake County, North Carolina, to the late Della Mae and Junior McQueen. He transitioned this life from labor to reward on February 5, 2025, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jimmy attended Cary High School in Cary, North Carolina. Early in life he was a heavy equipment operator and then he became a truck driver later in life.
He met and married his first wife, Shirley, and to this union a daughter was born, Joanna. After the death of his first wife, he met and is still married to Kimberly Burt McQueen, taking on the role of father-figure to Greg (Ava), Marcus, Carlos, and April.
Jimmy also leaves to cherish his memories: son-in-law, Douglas; grandchildren, Dequan, Kristyan, and Jayden Cunningham; siblings, Judith, Michael (Karen), and Terry McQueen; and special friends, Tyron Brown, Andy Harrington, and Richard Battle.
He was preceded in death his sister, Iworthia McQueen.
He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle who had a passion for driving his party buses, which he did up until the end of his journey on earth.

Visitation: 12:00 - 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Burial: Starlight Memorial Gardens, Lois Lane in Holly Springs, NC 27540.

So many memories of my 1st cousin. Wayne was the first grandchild to our grandma and the oldest cousin. He kinda set the tone for the rest of us in the family that came after him.
