Larry Norris was born on March 12, 1947, in Wake County to the late Rufus Norris and Bronzella Norris. On May 27, 2026, he peacefully answered the Master's call and entered into eternal rest.
Larry received his education through the Fuquay-Varina Consolidated School system. Following his education, he entered the workforce and was employed with Reynolds Aluminum, Haynes to The Rescue, and Oldcastle. He was also self-employed for a number of years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Larry was a faithful and active member of Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where he served diligently on the Usher Board until his health declined. His commitment to his church and community reflected the strength of his faith and his willingness to serve others.
Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, caring brother, uncle, cousin, and cherished friend whose kindness and presence touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his wisdom, quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and community.
Larry found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed being a member of The Midnight Cowboys, camping, horseback riding, cooking out, and participating in parades. He especially loved riding his Goldwing motorcycles and spending time outdoors. Larry was truly a down-to-earth man who appreciated fellowship, family, and the beauty of nature.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Anthony McCleary of Willow Springs.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife of 31 years, Carolyn Norris of the home, Holly Springs, NC; one daughter, April Bell (Hiwatha) of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Ruby Jones (Erle) of Willow Spring, NC, Ozella Hunter (Buddy) of Madison, Al, Trunita Toppings of Holly Springs, Patricia Harris of Durham, NC; and one brother, Lonelle Moore of Hiawassee, GA. He also leaves to cherish his memory; two grandson, Hawatha Bell of Spartanburg, SC and Kima Bell of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Ida Young (Ronald); one special niece, Crystal Lee of the home; special nephew, Donnell Lee; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

R.I.P my brother in Christ. To the family of Larry I know you're going to miss him. But just remember he's sleeping in the arms of Jesus. Larry is absent from this earth, but his memory are still with you all in your hearts. Carolyn Reade Blaylock
I'm so sorry to hear of another classmate's passing. Larry along with other male classmate's was always so cool. They always had that sway walk along with that grin that spelled trouble. Larry will be missed but to know that he's in the presence of God makes it easier to say good bye to another classmate .1967
