Her Life Story

Lida Bullock Leslie, affectionately known as “Lida B.” to her family, was born on August 16, 1928, to the late Lonnie and Minnie Bullock in the Needmore Community of Wake County, North Carolina.
Lida was devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her family. She was married to Willis W. Leslie, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Lida B. was the loving mother of Annette L. White (Richard N. White, Jr.) the late Brenda L. Floyd (preceded in death by Willard Floyd), Dianne Leslie (Queenie), and Clarice Leslie (Pannell) (Aunty Clair). She was a proud grandmother to Kimberly A. C. Manning-Shuler (Mark Shuler), Charlene W. Williams (Maurice D. Williams), Shekinah Pannell, Shelly Pannell, Stephanie Brockington (Abdul Brockington), and Sommer Pannell.
Lida B. was also blessed with a growing family of great-grandchildren, including Miguel Williams, Charnese Williams, Marcus L. Manning, Jr., Shamere A. Shuler, Ariana Liverman, Isaiah Pannell, May Pannell, Amber Paker, Naima Pannell-Scurry, and Austin Parker.
Her family continued to grow through the generations, and Lida B. was blessed with 13 great-great-grandchildren, a beautiful testament to the lasting family legacy she leaves to behind.
Lida B. was a hardworking woman who dedicated 30 years of her life to Raleigh Linen. Her strong work ethic and dedication were an important part of the life she built for herself and her family.
Lida B. devoted member of United Church of Christ in Holly Springs, North Carolina. She proudly served as a choir member and dedicated usher, faithfully welcoming and serving others within her church family.
Those who knew Lida B. will remember her for her strong personality, quick wit, and willingness to speak her mind. She was never afraid to say what she thought, and her wit and unique personality made her unforgettable to those who knew and loved her.
One of Lida B.'s greatest joys was spending time with her family and cooking. Family was important to her, and the time spent together around the kitchen and dining table created memories that her loved ones will treasure for generations.
Lida B. leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, faith, strength, hard work, humor, and love. Her 98 years were filled with experiences, relationships, and memories that will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind. Lida B.'s loving spirit, unwavering faith, and devotion to family will forever live in our hearts. She walked her journey with grace and courage, and now she rests in the arms of eternity.
Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they can find comfort in knowing that the woman they lovingly called “Lida B.” will forever remain a part of their hearts, their stories, and the family she loved so dearly.
She leaves behind a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones who continue to cherish her memory.
Lida B. Leslie, 98 of Holly Springs, NC passed on August 21, 2026, at Highfield Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cary, NC.
Public Viewing: 1:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 am on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Holly Springs United Church of Christ in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
Funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Holly Springs United Church of Christ, 116 3rd Street in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
