Obituary For Mary L. Snow

Mary Louise (Ticer) Snow, age 95 of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, originally of Nashville, Michigan, passed away on September 7, 2023.

Mary was born on February 26, 1928, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of LaVerne W. and Hattie E. (Armstrong) Teeter.

Mary was a life-long resident of Battle Creek Michigan. She married Sid Ticer in 1945 and they had 4 children together. They divorced in 1968. In 1992, she married Homer Snow of Nashville Michigan. Homer passed away in 2005 and in 2008 Mary moved to Florida to be closer to family and most recently moved to North Carolina.

Mary attended Battle Creek High School and worked in retail, retiring from K-Mart in January of 1990. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling, and water aerobics. As a young mom, she volunteered for the March of Dimes.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Hattie Teeter, brothers Bob and Raymond Teeter, her sister Helen Hagadon, daughter-in-law, Jean Ticer, and her husband Homer Snow.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Ticer and Bruce Ticer, daughters Carol Staup and Pam (Tim) Johnson, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Mary can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

A private family burial will take place in Nashville, Michigan at a later date. Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home, Hastings Michigan.
