Mary Louise Brown Curtis born to the late Charlie Nathan and Annie Louise Brown on June 23, 1946, in Wake County. She gained her wings on Sunday morning September 21, 2025.
She attended the Fuquay Consolidated High School for her early studies but graduated from the Clinton Junior College in South Carolina.
She left the Carolinas for a job opportunity in Roselle, New Jersey and stayed for a few years. She later relocated back the Carolinas and attended Hardbarger College where she received her degree in business.
She then accepted a job with the City of Raleigh and was employed there for a number of years.
As the opportunity arose, she was employed with The Department of Revenue, Raleigh, NC where she worked until retirement.
She joined the New Life Community Church of Fuquay-Varina, NC under the leadership of the late Bishop Herbert E. Kearse where she gave her life to Christ and served for many years. As the ministry grew and spread to Zebulon, NC, Louise served with New Life Community Church in Zebulon under the leadership of Apostle Hattie Stancil and later under the leadership of her current pastor, Pastor Connie Stancil.
Louise loved the Lord, her children, grands, great grands, her family, and her church family. She loved to travel and taking cruises as often as she could, was what she loved to do.
Louise was loved by many and leave to cherish her memories 3 children, Maurice Brown (Pam), Monique Brown Parham and Mansfield Smith, 7 grandchildren, Justin Brown, Kalyn Brown Eason (Christopher), Fayth Brown, Tamesha Brown, Brittany Brown, Rickia Barrett, and Alize Muldro, 6 great grands, Dante Brown, Kayden Brown, Micheal Muldro, Zallie Muldro, Tyler Barrett, and Jace Eason, 2 sisters Regina Burt (William) and Gwendolyn Harris, 1 brother Charlie Brown (Denise), 4 nephews, 1 niece, 5 great nephews, 6 great nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
Public Viewing: 1:00 - 6:00 pm Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Visitation: 2:30 - 3:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2025, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Funeral will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2025, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Burial: Wake Chapel Church Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

I worked with Louise in the Bankruptcy Unit at the NC Dept. of Revenue. It was obvious she loved her family dearly and was a good worker. I hope her family finds comfort in their memories of her well lived life.
Take your rest sweet friend. When Monique reached out to say that you had transitioned, it was a sad moment. I will never forget your kindness and your sweet spirit. I am thankful for your genuine friendship and our funny moments shared. You were a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved you. You were quite special. Rest friend! Well done!
