Obituary For Michael Perry Williams

Mike was born on November 11, 1977, in Fairfax, Virginia, and passed away at his home in Angier, North Carolina, on June 6, 2026, at 11:51 am. Though his years here feel far too few, the life he lived was full — full of passion, grit, laughter, and fierce devotion to the people he loved.

Mike grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, where he attended Thomas A. Edison High School, played varsity football and participated in an auto tech class that would spark a passion that would become a lifelong career. Anyone who knew Mike knew he was a natural problem solver. Mike used these talents to become a top-selling Mac Tools ambassador. But what really made Mike special was the pride he took in doing things right, helping people, and mastering his craft. He worked hard, and he earned the respect of everyone around him.

Outside of work, Mike lived fully and passionately. He loved deep-sea fishing, CrossFit, hunting, shooting sports, and spending time outdoors. He was a lifelong Redskins fan through thick and thin — which, as we all know, required a level of loyalty and endurance that perfectly matched Mike’s personality. Some of his happiest memories were connected to Lake Gaston, where he started water skiing at just four years old, and the lake remained a place of joy, freedom, and family throughout his life. Mike was many things to many people. To friends and family, he was resilient, determined, stoic, and, in their words, “strong as hell.” He was also protective — the kind of man who stood up for the people he loved without hesitation. A defender. A protector. Someone who made people feel safe simply because he was there.

Mike had a playful side. His family lovingly called him “Princess,” a nickname given to him by his wife, as apparently, he was quite the handsome teenager. He could laugh at himself. He could make others laugh, too. Whether it was taking forever to get ready, his love for pasta, or becoming “hangry” when he hadn’t eaten, Mike’s quirks became the kind of little memories families treasure forever.

But perhaps the greatest measure of Mike’s life was not his work ethic, his hobbies, or even his toughness. It was his love for his family. They were the center of his world. Mike deeply loved and is survived by his wife, Cinda, and his daughter, Elizabeth “Z”, as well as his bonus sons, Chandler and Mason. His mother, Denise Williams, and her husband, Rick Bressi; his father, Randy Williams; his sister, Amber Wood; his grandmother, Rose B. Knoezer; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and lifelong friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his two beloved Pop-Pops, Bill Knoezer and Jesse Williams, along with other cherished family members who surely welcomed him home. Though we grieve today, we also celebrate a life that mattered deeply to so many. A man who worked hard, loved hard, protected fiercely, and never stopped fighting. Mike’s story does not end here. It lives on in every memory shared around a dinner table, every laugh over an old story, every fishing trip, every Redskins game, every moment of strength shown by the people who loved him most.

And perhaps the best way to honor Mike is this: to love our people fiercely, stand strong when life gets hard, protect those entrusted to us, and never give up hope. Rest easy, Mike. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed.

In honor of Michael's memory, the family request that expressions of sympathy be limited to potted plants delivered to the funeral home.
