Overseer Joe Nell Summerfield

I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that the Summerfield family and friends are feeling because of losing Ms. Joe Nell recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God's (Psalm 83:18), promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: 'And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.' Jehovah promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: 'And no resident will say 'I am sick,' ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises here on earth (Psalm 37:9-11, 29), including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: 'is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago.' Isaiah 26:19 'Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.' Isaiah 25:8 'He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it.'For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. I'm deeply sadden to hear of Mr. & Mrs. Summerfield. I met them at a young age when their church was located on Davie street. My aunt Nonie Watkins a member there introduced me to these wonderful people. Very kind spirit, nice, and warming smile. I was welcomed with open arms and appreciate the Summerfield's for allowing me to be a part of their church. In the time I shared moments in the church I remember the children at the time Frank, Mitch, and Valisha, and Joshua. My condolences are with all the children. GOD make no mistakes and your parents are in heaven with each other. Frank and Jo Nell will be greatly missed. GOD bless the family

My humble sympathy to the family. I met Pastors Frank and JoeNell in 1995 via TV when I was visiting in Maryland and said I'm going to their church in Raleigh when I get back home. I was able to visit with my kids the following month and the service was awesome just as they were. They taught the uncompromised word and that's what we need. The devil has stolen from God's people long enough. Family continue to the legacy and my prayers are with you, I have been praying for Overseer daily when I heard about Bishop. Words can not express what's in my heart but prayer will continue for you guys.

I am saddened to hear of Pastor Joe Nell passing. I remember working at Burger King on Rock Quarry Rd. and one night after a service she and the kids stopped by and got something to eat. I think it was more for Frank and Joshua then anyone else. I remember how kind she was and to know that my mom was a member of their church. She will be greatly missed and prayers are going forth for the children left behind as well as spiritual children. Bishop and Pastor Summerfield believed in teaching the word of God in season and out of season. Take your rest from this labor and enter into the joys of the Lord.

Look up to the hills for that is where our strength comes from...your mother is resting with the lover of her soul & the love of her life.Cherish the memories of time shared and trust God for he is all that we need.💗

My heart is heavy for the family at this time. May God continue to strengthen and build you up. I had the opportunity to sit under Bishop and Pastor Summerfield's leadership for several years. I learned a lot from scripture to being single woman of God, being a Godly mother to my daughter (Jesseca) as well as handling finances. They were the most encouraging and motivating leaders ever. I Loved them both as spirit parents and still and will always carry a lot of what I learned from them. Children, your mom and dad loved you all and you were the apple of their eyes. They not only taught you how to love and live Godly but they provided examples. Hang In there and know that the mantle was passed down and God have your every move. You will miss them but know that you have many thing you can also smile about. God has them with him and Pastor Joenell is up in heaven standing beside her husband teaching family day on second Sundays. Take care and be at peace!
