Pauline Stewart was born to the late Benjamin Franklin and Pullia (Garner) Stewart on February 18, 1954, in Wake County, North Carolina. Pauline graduated from Fuquay High School in 1972 and continued her education at Saint Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina. “Polly," as her sisters affectionately called her, was always a hard worker and held several positions in the Triad area for many years. She was employed by R. H. Donnelley for several years prior to the loss of her eyesight due to complications of diabetes.
Polly answered the call as servant of the Lord Jesus Christ at any early age and faithfully continued her walk with Him regardless of her failing health. While serving under Bishop W. E. Lanier, Sister Pauline was a faithful choir member. She would be led to the choir stand every Sunday morning to do what she enjoyed doing most. She never completed about doing the work of the Lord. Sister Pauline exemplified “walking by faith and not by sight.” Sister Pauline later joined New Birth Believers Worship Church under Elder Clee Norris, where she served as a church mother until she departed her earthly body.
Pauline leaves to mourn her faithful son, Shawn Stewart; brother, James E. Stewart (Samantha); niece/ caregiver, Tara; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her precious parents, Pullia and Benjamin Stewart; great-grandmother, Myrtle Cotton; brothers, James Willis Benjamin “Jr.,” and Willie Earl Stewart; sisters, Helen Joyce Stewart, Bernice Yon, Chazset Smith, and Shirley Stewart Taylor; and her beloved baby boy Kule La Mar Stewart.
