Obituary For Shelby Jean McNeil
Shelby Jean McNeil, 84, of Willow Spring, NC, died peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by family.
Shelby was born on November 19, 1940, in Florence, SC, the daughter of Ruby Lee and Alva Joseph Geddings (preceded in death).
She cherished time spent with her family and friends, always treasuring the moments they shared together. She found joy and peace at the beach, where she loved to relax and take in the beauty around her. She also had a special fondness for the show Everybody Loves Raymond—she knew every episode by heart and never tired of watching.
Preceding Shelby in death, in addition to her parents are, husband, Jim McNeil, and siblings, AJ Geddings Jr., Margaret Smith, and Louise Rhodes.
Remaining to cherish Shelby’s memory are son, Chris McNeil, daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Shawn Albro, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and beloved life partner, Ken Musselwhite.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West St. Fuquay Varina, NC. A celebration will follow at the home of Kelli and Shawn Albro. All are welcome.
