Willie Edward “Eddie” Lawrence was born on August 10, 1944, in Wake County, North Carolina, to the late Robert McLeod and Colleen Lawrence Stocks. After a period of declining health, on the morning of Thursday, February 5, 2026, Willie entered into his heavenly rest.

They had two children, Brandy Lawrence and Jesse Lawrence.
Upon graduating, Willie worked at Micthell Chevrolet and EB Banks Construction in Fuquay Varina. He joined the United States Army in 1965, embarking on a 24-year military career that he carried with great pride and honor.
