My deepest condolences to Carlton and the family. May your strength and support carry and guide you through such a time as this. Love Evonne, Champagne, Brianna
Dear Carlton and Neveah - I had the privilege of working with Carmen for a number of years in Philadelphia through her community activism work before she decided it was time to be in GA so that she could be closer to the most important people in her life - the two of you. I knew Carmen as a community leader. She was loving, fair, firm, brave, honest, inquiring, and so smart. We depended on her thinking and her love. She also really knew how to fight and she didn't give up! I saw this in her battle around her health, but also for her community and loved ones. We had time to laugh and to cry together. I got to visit Carmen in GA many years ago, and I could see how much she loved her life close to both of you and that she'd already made many friends and had found a new faith home. I'll always remember and be grateful for time knowing Carmen. My thoughts and prayers at this time to you both and all of Carmen's family and loved ones.
Carmen had an amazing spirit! She loved harder than anybody else I've ever known. The way she loved her son and family was not only inspiring but delicate and warm. ✨️ God fearing woman, Shared wisdom and love amongst all with no hesitation or spite. With a heart that shined brighter than diamonds and gold I'm forever grateful. In Jesus name-Amen! REST peacefully and pain free! 🤍 #DontForgetToShowHeavenYourDanceMoves
