I only learned of Dr Livesey's passing today at Kaiser when I asked her colleague about her. I was shocked and saddened. She had been my PCP for over 10 years, always kind, thorough, and uplifting. Just want to let her family know that she was a great physician and a wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed.
Kim and I went to Howard U, and then she went to Meharry. We stayed in contact for many years after she graduated and began practicing. We lost contact, so I decided to Google her and catch up. I am so saddened by this. She was an angel on earth and so beautiful and caring. I am stunned. I know she is in heaven.
Dr. Livsey was my doctor at Kaiser for some years. I moved out of the Kaiser provider area for two years and I am now back in Georgia. When I looked for her to again be my physician, she was not listed. I then did a Google search and found her obituary notice. I am very sad and offer my condolences to her family. I could not believe she was gone. She was a "lady" in every sense of the word. I always looked forward to my visits to see what she would be wearing. She was very encouraging to me. She will be greatly missed.
I'm just seeing this and my heart goes out to her family. Dr. Livsey will be greatly missed. She was very personable and always kept me on my toes. Dr. Livsey was my true angel. I love you Dr. Livsey!
Just learning of Dr. Livsey's passing and Homegoing celebration. She will be sadly missed by many. I met Dr. Livsey several years ago during her practice. Later God reunited us at World Changers Church International where she became one of our Physicians on board with the Emergency Medical Team. Her soft spoken voice, her kindness towards others and her warm heart will forever be remembered. She was a beacon of light, an Angel truly sent from Heaven. I would like to extend my sympathy to her entire family, especially her son. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!
I've just learned of Dr. Livsey's passing today. I'm shocked. She was my PCP and perhaps the best doctor I've had in my adult life. I just can't believe she's no longer here. Now that I'm seeing the other comments from some of her other patients Ivecome to realize that she was a good doctor to all of us...not just me. I can only hope that I will find another doctor half as good as she was. Rest in peace Dr. Livsey❤
I am trying to accept the fact that my beloved doctor has crossed over. We will meet again in heaven. Theresa Brantley

I worked with Dr. Livsey briefly but new over 2 decades. She always so encouraging me to continue my education as I went up the ranks to become a registered nurse. She was very kind hearted and caring. We wouldn't see each other for years but always picked up where we left off. She was a thorough physician who took her time to see her patients. But most of all she was always a little lady full of grace. And she had her hair, nails, lip stick and outfit just right. I am sad to know she is no longer enjoying her free time being away from work but I know that she is resting in his arms with no worries, hurt or pain. Thank you Dr.Livsey-Barney for your years of service and dedication. Joy Nails,
I am very saddened to learn of Dr. Livsey's passing. She was my PCP for many years, I felt as though she treated me as a friend more than a doctor on several occasions. But, my favorite story I've told over and over is how she saved my husband's life. He saw her for a "bad cold", where upon, after her thorough examination, she ordered an EKG on the spot, only to discover he had experienced a heart attack the day before. Two days later he had quadruple by-pass surgery - that was in 2001. Thank you Dr. Livsey! May God Bless Your Family!
Dr. Livsey was my PCP got over 15 years. As well as being a great listener, I always felt she was like a friend. I always marveled that she could remember previous conversations even years later. When I heard of her passing today, it really brought tears to my eyes. Even though she had retired, I felt her lose. May your memories of her be consoling and knowing how much she was loved by so many. Cheryl Giles.
REST IN PARADISE! KIM WAS MY PCP AND HELPED ME THROUGH SOME TRYING TIMES. YOU WILL BE TRULY MISSED.
Dr. Livsey was my Primary Care Physician for over 6 years. I am a member of the church that a large percentage of her family are members of the same church community of New Bethel AME. She was always so kind, patient, down to earth, and sweet.
In fact, she sent a letter to me announcing her retirement. The letter eloquently expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to serve as my Primary Care Physician.
I remember thinking that she was so kind to take time to write such a wonderful letter.
She was so down to earth. She knew that she was a doctor and we knew that she was a doctor, but she was human and not arrogant.
I also remember saying to myself that when I would see her again, I would tease her about getting out of the profession right before the Pandemic. I remain in shock.
Dr. Kim (Angel) Livsey, you will be truly missed.
Rest in Peace,
Betty Davis-Robinson
