Obituary For First Lady Idell Ward

With Grateful Hearts for a Life Well Lived

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

Psalm 116:15 (KJV)With profound sorrow and hearts anchored in the promises of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we announce the passing of First Lady Idell Clark Ward, beloved First Lady of Antioch Lithonia Baptist Church and devoted wife of Pastor James C. Ward.

First Lady Ward was a cherished woman of faith, grace, and devotion whose life reflected the love of Christ. As First Lady, she served faithfully alongside her husband, offering encouragement, compassion, and spiritual support to the congregation and community. Her presence was a blessing, her faith an inspiration, and her love a lasting testimony of God's goodness.

Though our hearts are saddened by her departure, we find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We celebrate a life devoted to faith, family, and service, trusting in the eternal promise of our Heavenly Father.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to Pastor James C. Ward, the Ward family, the Antioch Lithonia Baptist Church family, and all who were blessed to know and love First Lady Idell Clark Ward.

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, comfort and strengthen each heart during this difficult season.

Her earthly labor is complete, but her legacy of faith, love, and devotion shall live on forever.“Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”Matthew 25:21 (KJV)

Rest well, First Lady. Your crown awaits, and your work shall speak for generations to come.
