Johnny Dennis Jr., loving father, son, brother and lifelong resident of Atlanta, GA died on February 14, 2023. Johnny AKA “Junior” succumbed to an extended illness at the age of 39 under the care of physicians at Emory Rehabilitation Hospital.
“Junior” was born on January 17th 1984, in Frankfurt, Germany. His parents were Johnny Dennis Sr. and Joyce Lynette (Street) Dennis. His parents loved him dearly and were truly proud of their first born. As a young boy Junior was very happy and playful. He was big for his age and very athletic. He loved to play football and enjoyed skateboarding. He was an avid Baseball card collector.
Junior attended South Gwinnett High School where he was a gifted, all-around athlete. He played Football for 4 years. He also competed in Track and Field. Junior lettered in both sports and was All State in Track and Field. Junior later attended Lincoln College where he studied Telecommunication Technology. Junior was the father of six (6) girls: Angelina, Kayla, Natalie, Jaimie, Elizabeth, and Emily. For a large majority of their life he raised them as a single father. Junior was always caring and supportive of his daughters. He worked multiple jobs to ensure his family was provided for, the longest being 10 years as a Security Officer. Junior was a loyal and dedicated brother. He and younger brother Jeremy had a very strong bond. Junior was a generous person who would do anything he could to help someone in need. During his free time Junior enjoyed listening to music and playing video games.
Johnny Dennis Jr. was preceded in death by his Mother Joyce Lynette (Street) Dennis and his daughter Jaimie Jordan. He is survived by his five daughters: Angelina Jordan, Kayla Jordan, Natalie Dennis, Elizabeth Jordan and Emily Jordan, his father Johnny Dennis Sr. (Flora), his brother Jeremy Dennis, sister Chelsea Phelps (David) and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
