Obituary For James Otis Carson

James Otis Carson was born on May 7, 1967 to the late David (Jim) Carson and Dorothy Carson Wesley. He departed this life on December 4, 2021. Otis graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1985. He was very active in sports. Football and basketball was his passion. Otis received “player of the week” several times. He also loved fishing. He worked in textiles and furniture for years where he played on the company’s softball team. He was also employed by E.J. Victor Furniture Company as an upholster until he went out on disability. Otis was preceded in death by his father, David (Jim) Carson, his grandparents, eight uncles and seven aunts. He leaves to cherish his fond memories; his daughter, Ebony Wilkerson (Arianna), his mother, Dorothy Wesley (Freddie), a very special companion, Sandra Minor, stepson, Christopher (Whitley), stepdaughter, Shayla, grandson Aiden, brothers, Anthony Carson (Vanessa), Timothy Carson (Ursula), sister, Carla Carson, stepbrother, Ahmad Wesley, stepsister, Monique Wesley, special uncle, Donald Brown, special nephews, Shavon and Marcus, nieces, Christen, Laneka and Taylor, special cousin, David Gary and a host of relatives and friends.
