Lee Roy Miller was born April 24, 1941, to the late Lee Alfred and Frances Miller in Mill Springs, NC. Lee Roy attended Carver High School in Spindale, NC. He was a natural master builder who was expertly skilled in brick masonry, carpentry, and a variety of other skills. He was a member of Moores Grove Baptist Church. Lee Roy gained his heavenly wings on the evening of September 19, 2023.
Lee Roy was known to be the life of the party and loved to dance, laugh, and crack a joke or two. He had the most genuine heart and love for everyone, especially his family. Lee Roy was a giver. He unselfishly gave his time and knowledge and would help anyone in need. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan (when they were winning) and told others he was a Carolina Panthers fan at heart. Lee Roy’s flawless work can be seen around Polk, Rutherfordton, and surrounding counties. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, being with his beagles, working in his garden and spending time with friends and family. Lee Roy was a pillar in the community and loved by all.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his Parents; one stepson; Anthony Suber, one brother; Nathaniel “Deuce” Miller and one sister; Jeanette Miller Copeland.
Left to cherish his memories are; his loving wife of thirty-four years, Deborah Miller, six children; Nancy (Billy), LeRoy (Michelle), Camille, Tina (Eric), Tracey (Marvin), and Lawanda. Six stepchildren; Lindsey (Jeronda), Linda, Neal (Julie), Erica, Ervin (Toni), and Elliott. Six sisters, Annie Bell Murray, Mary Lou Cantrell, Doris Switzer (Sonny), Rebecca Suber, Ruby Miller (Fred) and Sarah Joe Miller. One brother, Alfred Lee Miller (Ann), thirty-two beloved grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.
He was loved by the ones that called him Pop, brother, uncle, or friend, and adored by those that called him, “Papa.”
