Obituary For Marilene Pecolia Morris

Marilene Pecolia Morris was born on November 22, 1942 to the late William and Louise Morris of Rutherfordton, North Carolina. She was the eleventh of twelve siblings (the youngest girl). Marilene graduated from Carver High School in Spindale, North Carolina. She attended New Salem Methodist Church in Rutherfordton, North Carolina and at a young age accepted Christ as her Personal Savior. As a young adult she moved to New York City in 1962. She was employed by the U. S. Social Security Administration (SSA) as a Key Punch Operator. Marilene attended Soul Saving Station for Every Nation Christ Crusaders of America, Inc. in Harlem, New York. During her tenure at the Soul Saving Station she was filled with the Holy Ghost and faithfully sung in the choir. In 1982, Marilene was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Due to her diagnosis, she relocated back to North Carolina to reside in a Nursing Home. In spite of her condition, her mind stayed intact. During her life, Marilene was very meticulous of her body. She loved clothes and had a passion for travelling. She travelled to Canada, Israel and the Bahamas. Preceding her: Seven brothers ,Walter Morris, Norman Morris, Charlie Morris, Oric Morris, William Morris Jr., Eurl Morris, Johnny Lee Morris: Two sisters, Mary Ruth Nesbitt and Dovie Faye Robinson; Five sister in-laws, Elizabeth Morris, Lucille Morris, Catherine Morris, Velma Morris, Mammie Morris; Brother in-law William H. Robinson Marilene will be greatly missed and remembered. She expressed that she was ready to go home and meet the Lord. On January 5, 2021 at 4:00 am, Marilene Morris went to be with the Lord. She fought a good fight. She is survived by two sisters Hattie Abrams and Estelle Abrams; Brother-in- laws Lemme and Robert Abrams. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Service: Wednesday, January 13, 2021 2:00 PM Ulysses D.
