Rachel Petty McMillian was born July 7, 1940 in Polk County, NC to the late Tilman Petty and the late Clara Mae Logan Petty. She departed this life on August 16, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional hospital in Spartanburg, SC. She was employed by General Electric (GE) for over 20 years until retirement. Rachel was preceded in death her by her son: Jonathan (Jon Jon) McMillian, four brothers, Melvin (Bud), Emanuel (Evy), Marvin (Bebo) and Samuel (Sam) Petty; two sisters Mary Jane Petty Miller and Vera Ann Petty. Rachel leaves to cherish her memories; her husband Laddie McMillian, one son Dwayne McMillian of the home, one grandson Rakeel McMillian; two granddaughters, Shiraya Lewis and Sunni-Rose Weaver, one step daughter Margaret Janine Harriot, two brothers, Rayford (Hazel) Petty of Miami FL, Keith Petty of Green Creek, NC; two sisters, Linda Jackson and Diane Twitty of Green Creek, NC; two aunts, Emma McEntyre (John) and Inez Hines; two brother-n-laws Joe Miller and Flavours McMillian (Ann), a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
