Rita Denise McDowell Harris was born June 25, 1966 to Gertrude Lowrance and Calvin Williams. She departed this life on December 30, 2021. Rita met the love of her life Tony Jerome Harris and they were married August 10, 2006. After getting married they moved to Charlotte, NC. She worked at La Petite Academy as a Dietary Aide/Teacher until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Williams. Rita leaves to cherish her fond memories; her husband, Tony Jerome Harris, three children, William M. Lowrance, John E. Lowrance and Aretha A. Lowrance Boulware, two step children, Neil Wingo and Laura Wingo, her parents, Gertrude Lowrance and Calvin Williams, nine grandchildren, Juan Lowrance, Malcolm Lowrance, Ja`Myah Lowrance, Myonnie Lowrance, Abreonia Hines, Makenna Lane, Makyla Lane, Marcus Lowrance, Kensley Lowrance, one great grandchild, Vivian Lane, five sisters, Shonnie Sheppard, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Sheppard, Bernita Sheppard, Jamie Sheppard, Chris Sheppard, three brothers, Ronnie Lowrance, Treasean Dula, Hasan Dula and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
