Rosetta Woods was born in Rutherfordton, NC to the late John Tillman Woods and Loretta Woods. She departed this life on January 2, 2023, at the age of sixty-eight. Rosetta was the youngest of twelve children. Rosetta (aka Rosie) never met a stranger. She was always the life of the party. Rosie was sure to make a friend and was always willing to help anyone in any way possible. She was a very hard worker and always put her children first. She loved dancing, cooking, making people laugh and listening to gospel music. Cooking was one of her greatest passions. She spread her love by cooking and feeding everyone. She had a heart of gold. Rosie’s main focus of starting each day was checking on her children and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one daughter, Lashaunda Young of Greenville, SC, one son, Tivan Young of Charlotte, NC, nine grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Loretta Woods, four sisters, Esterleen Woods, Ernestine Woods, Brenda Woods, Linda Woods all of Rutherfordton, NC, seven brothers, Ray Baxter, McCoy Woods, John Tillman Jr. Woods, Eddie Woods, Stanley Woods, Calvin Woods, Steve Woods all of Rutherfordton, NC.
