Frankie, son of the late Mr. Dayton Lewis and the late Ms. Carrie Frinks was born on January 27,1968 in Loris SC.
He Departed this earthly life on February 22,2021 at MUSC in Charleston SC .
He attended Horry County Public Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1988.
He attended St. John A.M.E. Church in Longs SC. until his health began to fail. Frankie (Dockie Doo) drove school buses for Horry County Schools System.
He was a past employee of Damonโs Restaurant for 15 years, and an employee of the City of North Myrtle Beach for 15 years.
He was a very dependable and hard worker.
Frankie enjoyed talking and laughing with his family and friends and he also enjoyed playing football and fishing.
The love of his life was his wife Sparkle and his pride & joy was his daughters Shatima and Aliah.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents Dayton Lewis and Carrie Frinks, two sisters and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Sparkle Frinks, two daughters, Shatima and Aliah Frinks of Loris SC. Five sisters; Irma (Bertie) Wilson, Ruby Wilson, Ronnette Kelly and McCoundal Wilson of Longs, SC, and Evelyn Frinks of Philadelphia P.A. Five Brothers; Andrew Frinks, Lenford Frinks, and Thomas (Arnita) Frinks all of Philadelphia P.A., Steve (Linsey) Frinks, and Phil Frinks both of Longs, SC. A father-in-law; Overseer Billy Joe Gore (Annette) of Charlotte N.C. One mother-in-law; Janice (Roger) Smith of Loris SC. Sister-in-laws; Jacqueline Smith of North Myrtle Beach SC, Sharoda Colbert, Cherry Goodins of Charlotte NC. Five brother-in-laws; Greg (Elizabeth) Parker, Alex (Annette) Smith of Whiteville N.C., Ezra Gore of Charlotte NC, Billy Gore Jr., and Timmy Gore of Columbus GA. Very close friends Greg Parker, Tyron Brown, Jimmy Wilson, Vertis Wilson, Bryan (Goody) Freeman, and Junior Boatwright. Two special children that he loved as his own Alex Smith and Danielle Lewis. One special aunt-in-law Carolyn Morrison. He leaves a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to cherish his fond memories.
A walk through viewing will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 at United Funeral Home, LLC in the D.L. Grate Memorial Chapel from 4pm-7pm. *MASK ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY*
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 2pm. Eulogist will be Overseer Billy Joe Gore, father-in-law.
My deepest sympathy to the Frinks family at this most difficult time. May GOD bring strength and comfort to carry you through. Frankie will be truly missed, and he always had a hello,how you doing with a smile.
I have known Frankie Frinks for well over 30 years and he was just a solid person who believed in hard work to provide for his family. I have much respect for Frankie and the way he lived his life. I didn't see Frankie a whole lot the last 15 years but every time I did he always brought a smile to my face. You will be sorely missed my friend. Ken Myers
I and many others worked w Frankie @ DAMONS Rest and appreciated his hard work w kindness and especially that smile, always helpn out. Once Frankie Ken and I took a rd trip to Columbia to see USC football game .A trip full of laughs I'll not soon forget. After the years of Damon's I'd see Frankie working for the City and he always always would reach out wave and call my name. it would make my day . Oh what a sad day this is...I didn't see this one coming... uncle Frankie will truly be miss, to know him was to love him... you could not come encounter with him without laughing the rest of the day... The hilarious jokes, genuine kind-hearted, and the ray of sunshine he brought to an atmosphere is gone too soon... this is the perfect example God Only Takes the best... love you Uncle Frankie... Frankie was such a great guy. We enjoyed every time he came in the back door at Hoskins! A soft spoken gentleman with such a sweet spirit and big heart. We are so sorry for the families loss. We will certainly keep his family in our thoughts and prayers. Lenton and TIna Yates
