Obituary For Shamala Michelle Bessent

God saw our daughter, mother, sister, cousin, and friend getting weary. He put His arms around Shamala and whispered, "Come and Rest."

Miss Shamala Michelle Bessent, daughter of Bobbie and Leverne Bessent was born November 15, 1979. She departed this world Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

She attended North Myrtle Beach High School and earned her GED.

Miss Shamala leaves to cherish her memories two loving parents, Leverne and Bobbie Bessent; one son Darrell Cedric Stevenson of Little River, SC; two sisters Sheena Bessent of Little River, SC and LouEllen Goodson of Longs, SC; three brothers Delton and Emmrick Bessent of the home, Darrell Bessent preceded her in death; grandmother, Doris Bellamy of Trenton, NJ; four nieces and seven nephews and a host of aunts and uncles; a special friend Cedric Stevenson; close cousins, Angie Anderson and Deontre Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Shamala will be held Monday, July 20, 2020 from 4-7 pm at United Funeral Home in the D.L. Grate Memorial Chapel. *DUE TO COVID-19 TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DOOR, AND MASK ARE REQUIRED.*

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 graveside at 10am at Mt. Calvary #2, 2625 US 111 Little River, SC. Rev. James Lee Smith, Sr. will do the words of comfort.
