Stanly German was born on January 26, 1959 in McClellanville, SC. Stanley attended the public school system of Charleston County. He graduated from Garrett High School in Charleston, SC from the class of 1978. Stanley became a certified welder and worked at Denton Shipyard for many years, and later traveled throughout the United States proficiently mastering his craft. Eventually, Stanley retired from United Infrastructure Group in August 2020.
Stanley was a quiet man and had a heart of gold. When you met him you knew he was genuine. Stanley would give you the shirt off his back if you were ever in need. His friends affectionately called him, "LayLow", for his laid back personality. He is loved by so many, young and old, family and friends. He will forever be loved and missed.
Stanley was a husband of 18 years and is survived by his wonderful wife Arvel Moody of Loris, SC. Arvel, a committed and devoted wife who stood by Stanley's side until the very end.
Memories of Stanley German's life will be cherished by his biological mother Cardell S. Goodwater, preceded in death by adopted parents John and Louise German; his children: Kelsey Romon Jackson, Marcus Jermaine German, Jametric Jamal German, Ricky Terrell Moody (Amy), and Robert Maurice Moody, 13 grandchildren, his siblings: preceded in death by Vivian (German) Green, Lisha Jemmott (Gregg) of Virginia, Bernard L. Goodwater, Jr. of Oklahoma, Kim T. Goodwater-Bedoya (Luis) of Florida, Joseph (Derek) Goodwater of Georgia, Uncle Harry (Bubba) Singleton, mother-in-law: Jeanice Moody, brother-in-laws: Anthony Moody, Corey Moody, and Jerry Moody, sister-in-laws: Rosie Wilson, Elizabeth Daniels, and Vanessa King. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 3pm at Freemont Baptist Church Cemetery , 541 Freemont Rd. Longs, SC. Apostle Joyce Price will do the eulogy.
