Angela Faye Mitchell
Angela Faye Mitchell was born on December 19, 1967, in Knoxville, Tennessee to Alice Faye Dixon-Mitchell & Clarence Mitchell, Sr.
Angela, or as we called her “Miss Angie” or “Dean”, was a loving and devoted mother to Troy and Craig Mitchell. She raised them in church, and as a woman who stood firm in her faith, she always encouraged them to have their own relationship with God. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a sterile processing tech and as an outpatient receptionist for the surgery department for many years. Everyone loved Miss Angie; she was the kindest person you could ever meet, very soft-spoken and gentle. She had such a big heart. If there was a way she could help someone, she did it with love and a big smile. Miss Angie loved to travel and experience new things. She loved to laugh and be silly and have fun. Ms. Angie had been struggling with several health issues for quite some time, and even then, she handled it gracefully. God has called her home and now she is resting in His arms.
Angela departed this life on June 10. 2026. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clarence Dixon; maternal grandmother, Sadie Butts; paternal grandmother, Mattie Mitchell; mother, Alice Faye Dixon-Mitchell; foster mother, Annie E. Hanford; and foster sister, Helen Glenn.
