Knoxville - Arthur Lee Darden, Jr. of Knoxville passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Ft. Sanders Hospital.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents, Harold and Delphia Roper, Sr., Mother Josephine Roper Thompson , sisters; Sheila Prater and Lois Woodruff, brother, Clarence Darden.
He is survived by sons, Julius and Arthur Darden, daughters; Deidra and Natalie Darden, 6 grandchildren; brothers; Reginald, Patrick, and Norman Thompson; sisters, Syvilla Thompson and Victoria Sripling, uncle; Julius Roper; devoted cousin, Ruby Dotson, a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
There will be a Graveside Service immediately following the viewing at 4:30 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery where a dove release will conclude.
