Betty Lou Bell McKinney entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2024 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born May 9, 1940 in Opelika, Alabama to Charlie and Georgia Butler Bell. She was faithful member of Brown New Hope Baptist Church of Blaine, TN where she served on the Kitchen Committee for many years. She was the caring and devoted wife of Paul McKinney for 60 years and a loving Mother of 6. She was preceded in death by husband, Paul McKinney; son, Damon McKinney; parents; sisters, Jessie Harper and Mary Jo Brown; brother, Johnny Bell. She leaves to morn her loving memory; son, Dennis (Mary) McKinney; daughters; Pamela (Paul) Kyle, Sharon McKinney, Kathy McKinney, Yolanda McKinney; Uncle, Solomon Butler; 9 Grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren, her Church Family, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host Family, Relatives and Friends.
The Family will receive Friends at Brown New Hope Baptist Church in Blaine, TN Saturday, March 2 from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12:00 p.m. where Pastor Dennis McKinney will be officiating.
The final resting place will be held at the Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the Celebration. A dove release will conclude in her honor.
