Brenda Faye Hardin Campbell-Foxx of Knoxville, departed this life on Good Friday, April 7, 2023 at NHC Holston Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Foxx; her only son, Kevin Wayne Campbell; bonus sons, Ronnie and Rufus Foxx; her parents, Alixander James, Sr. and Lena Nelson Hardin; her 6 brothers, Willis Rufus, Edward, Hurley Rogers, Leon Calvin, Alexander James, Jr. (AJ), and Durward Hardin; her 2 sisters, Annie B. Reid and Sheila Mae Hardin.
‘Ms. Brenda’ is survived by Daughters; LeTonia, Ingrid and bonus daughter and daughters-in-law, Wanda, Gwen, and Theresa Foxx; only grandchild, Marcus Dewayne Campbell, bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren; her ‘faithful’ son-in-law, Joe Armstrong, and a lifelong devoted Family Friend, Clarence McDowell. A host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. The Family of Ms. Brenda would like to thank her caregivers at NHC Holston: Nancy; whom she loved like a daughter, Karina, Holly, Ms. Jan, Norma, NP Aundrea, Kimmy, Rachel, Kat, Ms. Linda, Jennifer, and others at NHC Holston that showed her affection. Additionally, a special thank you to Nurses Linda and Nina, Chaplin Charles and the staff of Caris Hospice that provided quality palliative care during the last 4 months of her life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with The Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Victor King officiating.
The final resting place will be held at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. A dove release will conclude.
