Calvin Leon Westfield Sr., age 78, peacefully transitioned into the presence of the Lord on November 4, 2025, at Fort Sanders Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Calvin worked for Knox County Schools and later retired from First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his wife, fishing, hunting, building things, and working at the flea market with his son Kevin tagging along by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James Paul Sr., and Dorothy Juanita Westfield; children: Kimberly Bradley and Calvin Leon Westfield Jr; brothers: James “June” Paul Jr., Milton “Red” Thomas, Charles David, and Shawn Lebron Westfield; and sister, Sarah Ann Westfield.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving devoted wife, Elmer “Jean” Westfield; sons: Kevin Devon, Marcus Westfield, Andre Thompson; daughter, Tabatha Bishop; grandchildren: Todd, Deztany, Dayshyra, and Tanika Bishop; great-grandchildren: Markeis, Gregory, Deziyah, Reggie, Danioze, Terrion, Ajabeon, Amaud, Amaudjah, Demaurion, McKeelyn, Tyreek, Kashaad, Kassidee, Tahj, Redsynn Bishop; sisters: Junetta Westfield, Annetta Dickey, Belinda McNeal; brothers: Phillip Sr., Richard, and Arnold Westfield; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 12-1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Open Door Church with Pastor Steve Simpson officiating.
The final resting place will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service.

To Jean Westfield and Family, I am so sorry to hear about Calvin passing. It was good seeing you and your son the other day. I just wished it had been under better circumstances.
