"Earth has no sorry that Heaven cannot" To one of my dearest friends in Knoxville, Glenda Shell Hodge, my deepest condolences go to you and the entire family! No parent expects to bury their children and therefore the grief is so heavy, but in times like these you have an anchor and that is Jesus the solid rock that will keep you and provide comfort and peace. I still remember the rap you made up call "Jesus Christ" nice smooth beat to it loll we had so much fun back then! I still can't believe I can't pick up the phone and call or see you again! You kelp a smile on your face. I'm going to sooo miss you my friend 😘 I could see you was at peace which comfort me. I love you my friend forever 💯❤️❤️
Shell was a real lonsdale legend. Him and his family helped mold alot of us who grew up in the projects. Will never forget when me and shake walked to your crib by the chain gang so we could gang you and beat you up. I got scared and ran and you beat the shit outta shake. RIP big D. Whiteside
Rest Easy my Ruke High Golden Bear Basketball Teammate. You have been a Blessing to us while you walked the grounds of Earth and Lonsdale. You will be missed but never forgotten. My story of D-Shell... My senior year, his Junior year, he hit a last second shot to win a game for us. He was a Huge Celebrity at school the next day. I walked up to him and gave him a pound (Fist Bump - Just in case anyone out there are thinking street talk LOL) and said, "Great Shot D Shell" He said, "Butch, my name is now David Wingate." (Who at that time was the shooting guard for Georgetown University)🤣 The few times that I have seen him since then, I called him Daaaaavid Winnngate! Each time, his face would Light Up and he would thank me for remembering that. Rest Easy My Friend! Rest Easy!

Darryl, I will never forget you. My favorite memory was years and years ago when we were children and you, Niecey, Miss Fanny and I were in the backseat of the car. We had a funny moment and couldn't stop laughing. We laughed so long and hard. Just the 2 of us and everybody else in the car got mad because they didn't know why we were laughing. lol lol lol. You're now laughing with the angels in heaven.
