David Earl “Butch” Lyons
Sunrise: September 25, 1948
Sunset: June 15, 2025
It is with heartfelt love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, David Earl “Butch” Lyons, who transitioned peacefully on June 15, 2025.
Butch was many things to many people — a Navy veteran, a devoted father, a loyal friend, a sports fanatic, and yes, a true ladies’ man. His charm, sense of humor, and unforgettable presence left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His voice, his laughter, and the wisdom he shared will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, siblings, and many loved ones who have gone before him. His memory lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends.
The family thanks everyone for their continued prayers, calls, and support during this time. Though we cannot all gather together physically, we feel the love surrounding us, and we are truly grateful.
“The race is not given to the swift... but to the one who endures to the end.”
Butch has finished his race. And oh, what a run it was.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Unity Mortuary. www.unitymortuary1979.com

I remember Ted, Betty, and Butch as a child playmate(cousin). We played at my aunt's house on Alvin Street in Park City. My aunt loved to make homade ice cream and hotdogs. What fun we had. Haven't seen Butch in years but I am remembering him very fondly.
