Obituary For Dexter L. Willis
Dexter L. Willis, age 68 of Knoxville, Tennessee departed this life on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 peacefully at his residence. His mother Jacqualine Porter, daughter Karie Mills, grandson Ronald "Ron Ron" and brother Edward Porter was all called home prior to him. Dexter better known as "Dex" or "Iceman" was a true fisherman. He graduated from Austin East class of 1974. He would go on to attend school in Louisville, KY to be an electrician. Dex would stand out on the football field and anywhere else in life he went. He also loved drawing, collecting things, working in his garden, listening to music (snoop dogg), and being around family.
He is survived by his soulmate of 40+ years Stephanie Jones, children; LaQuashia Foxx, Reggie (Shara), Derrick, LaQuinton, and Cara Jones. Dex will be forever missed and loved.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 p.m with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
The final resting place will be held at the Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the Service. A dove release will conclude.
