Evon Griffin
Evon Griffin, age 68 of Knoxville departed this life on October 5, 2025 at UT Medical Center.
Preceded in death by father Willie Henry Satterwhite, husband Alfred Lamar Griffin Sr., son Alfred Lamar Griffin Jr., Sister Victoria Spradling; brother Grisby Workman (Detroit, MI), niece Cheryl J. Whitehead, Shawntia Lasha Davis, and nephew Tori Tamont Griffin.
She leaves to mourn her passing mother Ora Lee Brewer (Detriot, MI) brothers Herny Lee Workman (Lagrange, GA), Forrest (Karen) Workman(Detriot, MI); Sisters Margaret Workman, Jacqueine (Phillip) Brewer (Detriot, MI), and Robbin Brewer (Lagrange, GA); son Terry Griffin; daughter Tashia Griffin; adopted son Tyrone Mackerson; grandchildren Keyisha Murphy, Lamyisha, Lemarina and Za'Rayah Griffin; Cebra Jr., Dewayne, Darius, Rodgerick Jr., Jarvis, Kendrick Griffin, and Jack Chesney Ill; Sciara Griffin, Daishanay Tucker, and Terryauna Griffin; great grandchildren Amirah Gillette, AโNyla Hill; Kimora and Azalea Garner; nephews Fredrick Spradling, Joseโand JaiโQuan Brewer, Detrick (Natalie) Whitehead, nieces Jayla Brewer, Tawana Workman, Katie Griffin, Inga Shadden, Shawnta (Tron) Rogers, and Nya Shadden, special friend Robert Meade and a host of relatives and friends too numerous to name.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 pm at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
The final resting place will be held at the New Grey Cemetery immediately following the service. A dove release will conclude in her honor.
