So sorry to hear that Garfield passed. It's been years since we saw each other while I attended KC. He was a nice person as everyone has stated. RIHP until we are all united again. Wanda Pettway-Edmunds
I practically grew with Garfield, Alfred, and Mary Lynn. They where my cousins and childhood friends. We all played together, went to Maynard, Beardsley, and East High School together. Living on 5th Avenue, we played baseball by the Interstate ate as many fried baloney sandwiches at Bats grocery we could afford. Garfield was always good to me, he never said a bad word about anyone, he was such a positive person, a good guy. When he separated from the Army he talked to me about the military, he told me it's not for everyone, but it might be for me. Garfield, I hope you next trip around the Sun, is a peaceful and wonderful journey. God Bless You.

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. My deepest heartfelt sympathy and may the PEACE of GOD that surpasses ALL understanding provide comfort to each of you now and forevermore. Treasure the memories of your Love Ones in your Hearts forevermore. Jamesena West-Hardin & Family
